Make the best five-card hand—or the last live claim

Each player receives two private cards. Up to five community cards appear across the flop, turn, and river. At showdown, the best five-card combination from the available seven cards wins the eligible pot. A player can also win earlier when every opponent folds.

Know the legal actions

• Check only when no bet is outstanding.
• Call by matching the current bet.
• Bet when no wager exists in the round.
• Raise above an existing bet subject to the minimum-raise rule.
• Fold to surrender your claim to the pot.
• All-in commits the remaining stack but does not override side-pot or minimum-raise rules.

Position changes the same hand

Players acting later have seen more decisions before choosing. Start with fewer hands from early position and expand carefully near the button. At heads-up tables, blind and action order differ from a full table; follow the table state rather than memorizing one shortcut.

First-session checklist

• Read the table asset, blinds, buy-in, rake, and cash status.
• Confirm you are eligible and understand custody before depositing.
• Choose a fixed money limit and end time.
• Watch a full orbit before entering if the interface is unfamiliar.
• End the session when its time or money limit is reached. Do not reload to recover a loss, and stop entirely if play begins to interfere with sleep, work, relationships, or bills.
